GSKC Club Newsletter #6 May 2023

Round 3 of our Club Championship for 2023 is on Saturday 27th May.
Registrations are now live! Registering through KOMP at https://portal.karting.net.au/
All of our usual race categories will be run like our normal club rounds, but with a big addition!
Greater Sydney Kart Club will be hosting the inaugural round of the new Winter Cup featuring all Rotax Pro Tour Classes.
These Rotax classes are in addition to our usual race categories that will be run on the day.
The final race for each class will be held under lights. Our start time may depend on the number of entries received so we’ll keep you updated.
Winter Cup (Saturday 27th May)
The Winter Cup will be run over three events hosted by our club, Port Macquarie Kart Club and Newcastle Kart Club. A Blue Plate will be awarded to the winners of each category across the series. Karting Australia NSW will soon be releasing more information about the Cup.
If you’re a Rotax racer or you know someone who is, let’s get behind the return of Rotax Racing to Karting Australia by registering for the inaugural round at our club on Saturday 27th May.
Note that Rotax classes will run with the Dropdown rules, but this will NOT apply to our usual Club classes.
Our intention was to run the inaugural Winter Cup event in June however changes in the national karting calendar meant we have brought the event forward to Saturday 27th May.
Practice
Private practice is available at the Indy800 track throughout the week and can be arranged by contacting Indy800 directly on 02 4575 1265

Make the most of our Track
For those of you who are new to the Indy800 track it is different to every other track in the Sydney region. It’s technically and physically challenging for our seniors and an excellent track for our juniors to develop their skills. The tight turns help develop better racecraft than the fast flowing turns of other tracks.
The address is 446 Wilberforce Road, Wilberforce NSW 2756. Sign in and pay the practice fee at the Indy800 office.
