GSKC Club Newsletter 12 February 2024

Congratulations on a great Dash 4 Cash Event!

Congratulations to everyone involved in making our first event of 2024 a great success.

With 105 entries this was our biggest event since moving to the Indy800 track and I’m pleased to say that the weekend ran smoothly with the same positive atmosphere as we’ve come to expect from our club events.

As chance would have it, the weather was good all weekend except for qualifying with a constant drizzle impacting on qualifying times, but not racing.

Drivers should be congratulated on maintaining good driver etiquette in their racing with Officials respected for enforcing high standards in a fair way.

Thanks to all teams and participants for adhering to pit allocations and to all those who followed directions about car parking. We’ll continue to improve this as our events grow in size.

Special thanks to Belinda, Diane and Pam for running the Club Canteen so successfully and also to all the volunteers who assisted. We’re looking forward to establishing a permanent place for our Canteen in the coming months.

Weighing in wasn’t the smoothest during the event, but our in-ground scales on the new in-grid will be operational for Round 1 of our Club Championship on Saturday 16 March.
